Customer Comments:
This hotel is just gorgeous, the rooms are big, the bathroom was lovely too, with big circular bath and massive shower. The staff is friendly and the location is superb, hard to believe you are in the middle of the city. Great place, highly recommended.

I visited Chiang Mai again earlier this month and decided to stay at Bodhi Serene after reading the positive reviews here. As mentioned by other reviewers, this hotel is brand new and I do enjoy staying at brand new hotels for obvious reasons. I booked directly from the hotel and was given very good rates for the Executive Deluxe room located on the 2nd floor.
First Impression:
The frontage of the hotel is not impressive but upon entering the quaint doorway, I felt as though I've stepped into a peaceful oasis. The interior decor and architecture are traditional with some contemporary touches. Very airy, spacious and peaceful.
Room:
Very spacious and comfortable. Every room faces a lovely courtyard. I love the round bathtub which is perfect for long, lazy soaks.
Service:
Very warm and friendly, Thai hospitality personified. One night, closed to midnight, I was struck by sudden hunger pangs. As I was too tired to go out, I called the room service which was supposed to be available 24 hours, but found that it wasn't so. The very kind and helpful lady at the reception offered to run out and buy me some snacks from the nearest 7-11 instead. I thought that was really nice of her. Within half and hour, the snacks were delivered to my room, nicely presented on a platter, accompanied by full cutlery.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay here tremendously. While this hotel is not located within walking distance of the Night Bazaar(which is fine with me as I've been to the Night Bazaar many times during my previous trips to Chiang Mai), you'll have no problem finding cafes, pubs nearby.

Hello,
We stayed at Bodhi Serene 3 nights at the end of November 2007.
This Brand new hotel is located in the old town (center of Chiang Mai).
There are only a few rooms and they are very very spacious and charming (everything in North Thailand Lana Style). The breakfirst is "a la carte" and very good.
Do not hesitate to go there. Enjoy the swimming pool.
Best choice in the center (we stayed at two other hotels in the center and this one is N°1)
I'm sure this place will reach the top of this chart in the coming months...
NB: This hotel is at 200 meters of the Sunday Market (500% more interesting than the Night Bazaar)

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel located in the middle of the walled, old city of Chiang Mai. It is brand new, so you probably won't find reviews of it, but take it from me. It is incredible. The rooms are huge, the bathroom has a giant size bathtub. There is an infinity swimming pool. It is really luxurious. You should know that the old, most interesting part of Chiang Mai is within the walled city. That's where this hotel is located. It is very small, one of the nicest hotels I've ever visited. Very romantic, very quiet. The room rate was 2000 Baht after a little negotiation. Like most places in Thailand, the room rate is negotiable, especially if you're staying a week or more.
